We're sorry to see you go, but we want to help avoid any headaches as you leave!


  • Assess what University owned property you have. For the most part, this is anything which was paid for with any funding from UCI. If it's technology which we purchased for you, it will likely have a property tag to help you identify it.
  • Arrange with Technical Services to collect all the equipment you need to return, and inform us if any of it is already allocated to a future user.
  • Identify if you have any subscriptions purchased through the university, or other accounts which are in your name but used for business purposes.
  • Hand those accounts and subscriptions over to the person in your unit who will be taking over managing them. If you aren't sure or you need any help, feel free to contact Technical Services for help.
  • Identify if you have any files saved in your own UCI Google Drive or OneDrive or on a physical device which need to be preserved by the University.
  • Relocate those files to somewhere permanent, such as a Shared Google Drive or OneDrive.
